Presented the research work “Integrating Remote Sensing and Field Observations to Assess Wetland Water Spread Dynamics and Avian Abundance in Bonal Bird Conservation Reserve, India.”
This collaborative study was conducted with Dr. Mahendiran Mylswamy (Senior Scientist, SACON) and team, where my contribution focused on the GIS and Remote Sensing analysis supporting the broader ecological research.
The workshop, organized by the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS), IEEE, and Sapienza University of Rome, provided an excellent platform to exchange insights on wetland monitoring, conservation, and geospatial techniques.
Participated in the conference and presented two research papers titled “GIS for Hydroscapes: A Low-Cost Geospatial Approach for Mapping Potential Blue-Green Infrastructure Sites for Urban Runoff Conservation” and “Comparative Evaluation of K-Means and Random Forest Algorithms for Oil Spill Detection Using Sentinel-1 SAR Data.”
The works were co-authored with Linda Theres and Geethakarthi. The conference provided a valuable platform to share research ideas and engage with experts in computational intelligence and geospatial technologies.
I had the opportunity to participate in the International Conference on "Soil Mapping for Sustainable Land Use Planning", held as the 3rd Joint Workshop of the IUSS Digital Soil Mapping and GlobalSoilMap working groups.
During the conference, I presented my research titled:
“Prediction of Soil Properties using Deep Learning Algorithms – A Case Study of Perambalur District, Tamil Nadu, India.”
The event brought together global experts and provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in digital soil mapping, machine learning in soil studies, and sustainable land use planning. It was an enriching experience to share my work and learn from the international community.
Grateful to the organizers for creating such a powerful platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Presented a poster and won Second Prize for Best Poster Presentation
